I am a postdoctoral fellow (NTT Assist. Prof.) at Vanderbilt University. In the fall, I will be an Assistant Professor at New Mexico State University, in Las Cruces.
I completed my Ph.D. at Stanford University, and my advisor was
Gunnar Carlsson.

Research Interests: Algebraic Topology, Algebraic K-theory, Yang-Mills theory.
I use techniques from K-theory, homotopy theory, and differential geometry to study representation spaces of infinite discrete groups. I am especially interested in analogues of the Atiyah-Segal theorem, relating these spaces to complex K-theory. My work has produced a homotopical description of the stable moduli space of flat connections over surfaces. This result uses Yang-Mills theory, and I also study various aspects of that subject.
