The Workshop on Nil Phenomena in Topology will focus on the following topics in the theory of surgery and manifold theory:

  •  Splitting homotopy equivalences between manifolds
  •  Controlled topology and Bass's Nil groups

  •  Calculation of Cappell's UNil groups
