RESEARCH

I am interested in the area of mathematical biology and biomathematics education. My current research focuses on the application of differential equations to cellular signaling pathways. In particular, I am working on the development and mathematical analysis of an ordinary differential equations model of the uridine 5'-diphosphate signaling pathway in the RAW 264.7 macrophage. Since May 2004 I have been working full-time in the H. Alex Brown lab in the Vanderbilt Pharmacology Department. While in the lab, I have been developing new methodology pertinent to my model as well as performing the necessary experiments to obtain missing parameters for the model.
