Second Announcement
(revised)This conference, held in conjunction with the 12th Annual Shanks Lecture, will focus upon applications of mathematical models to medical and health sciences. The purpose of the conference will be to bring together mathematicians, biologists, and medical researchers in a forum that promotes their interdisciplinary cooperation. The Shanks Lecturer will be Martin Nowak of Oxford University. The program will include the following plenary speakers:
The conference program will include contributed and special sessions. The special sessions will be in epidemic models, immunology models, tumor models, physiology models, cell population models, cellular signaling, chemotherapy and radiotherapy models, medical imaging and informatics, control theory, and models and simulators in medical education.
Deadline for submission of titles and abstracts: May 1,1997 (early submission will be appreciated). If you will be giving a talk, please enclose your title and abstract with your registration form.
